How long does a marigold live?
marigolds are annuals, so they only live for one growing season unless you live in a very warm location. They may reseed themselves and have babies the next year.
Reply:I love marigolds and have them every year in my garden. They remind me of my Grandma's farm. Anyway, they are an annual here in Wisconsin, or other cold places and will die when it gets below freezing. However, you can take the dried seeds and replant them year after year. There are so many kinds of marigolds, as far as color and height, so I am sure there is one that is sure to look great in your garden! I usually do all my annuals in pots so that they are an easy clean up in the fall and if I want to save the seeds it is very easy to access.
Reply:That really depends. Some reseed themselves and never go away. These ones are a pain in the butt as they take over your whole garden bed and take years to get rid of if you don't want to use poison.





My advice stay clear of them altogether. But some people really like em so i guess its up to you. Check with your local plant nursery if your not sure as to what type you have.
