Can old marigold seeds germinate?

I have some old marigold seeds in an old peanut butter jar(cleaned dry and top on tight) they are 2-3 years old will they germiate thanks lenny

Sounds like you stored them well. While you may not get the germination rate you would have 2 years ago, I would imagine that many will do well. give it a whirl.
Reply:yes they should i have marigolds coming up outside were i had them last year and i didn't plant any seeds yet.
Reply:I had some in a zip-loc bag for 5 years and I got about 60% germination
Reply:yes some of them should germinate. Not all of them will but, some will.
