Which plant should I use for this experiment?

I am doing a science experiment to test if you can grow plants with different liquids (e.g juice, soda, milk, beer). I am not sure what type of plant to use for this experiment though. what do you think i should do? i want to to be a common plant. maybe a flowering plant , like marigolds? or something different?

Which plant should I use for this experiment?
i would use a simple pea plant. they grow super fast so you can be done relatively soon with your experiment. they are also pretty cheap, so you can grow a lot of them (which shows you have good support for your hypothesis).

good luck!
Reply:I would use a simple bean or corn plant because they aren't as finicky.
Reply:The broad bean, Vicia faba, is a very insensitive, so that You even get any result under bad conditions ( with soda, beer a.s.o. ), because there is no use in dead seeds only.

And it grows quickly enough for an experiment.
Reply:I would throw a bean in the ground or maybe a sunflower seed.

Maybe even lupin or bells of ireland..since those are easy to grow froom seed.
Reply:I used lima beans for a science project a long time ago, and they were easy to grow. Good luck!
