What can I spray on my flowers to keep pests from stealing them?

This is the second time I've planted marigolds in my planters on my deck railings. They are disappearing again, Is there anything I can use to keep varmits away? I want to keep some pretty flowers on my deck.

What can I spray on my flowers to keep pests from stealing them?
It's called liquid fence. You can get it at garden supply.I used it for years to keep deer away.If you have ground hogs then you have to catch in traps with cut up fruit.

I love flowers also☺
Reply:They say if you go to a hair dresser and ask for the hair that they throw away after cutting. That should keep them from eating your plants. I read that in the farmers almanac a while ago. They used it to keep animals from eating their fruits and vegetables. I guess the scent of humans scare them away.
Reply:i have two options for you. you can try all these crazy " as seen on t.v." items or do what works. buy a English bull dog or maybe a pit-bull and chain them on the deck. or you can buy a 12 gauge shotgun, and put bird shot in it. i have found that both of these work. just kidding.
